Any time someone undergoes a surgical procedure that leaves him or her with a stoma, it turns into a very delicate situation very fast. The first thing that you will need is soap because you want to make sure your hands are extremely clean before you get near the opening. You will need a really good medical soap because not using hands that are clean enough could give the ostomy patient an infection and that is the last thing that you want to happen.
